Shimano Fishing Reels

The Shimano company was founded in 1920 and was best known for its precision engineering.   It designed and produced fishing tackles that features state-of-the-art technology, e.g., TC4 Construction and A-RB.  Aside from fishing, it also produced products for cycling and snowboarding.  Its head office is in Japan but also has offices globally including one in Irvine, California.

Despite the advances in technology and techniques of Shimano in their work, their aim stays the same, to catch the fish and enjoy the sport.   Shimano offers a wide range of fishing gear designed depending on the purpose of the buyer, whether to fish as a form of relaxation or to catch a bluefin in a big-game fishing competition.

One of the fishing products that Shimano designs and produces are fishing reels.  They are experts on this field and has received numerous awards to prove it.  In 2008 alone, they won the 2008 ICAST New Product Showcase Award for Best Saltwater Reel.  They also won the 2008 ICAST New Product Award for Best Freshwater Reel and Best in Show.

Shimano fishing reels could be ordered in various retails stores globally.  It could also be purchased online.  Some of its most popular reels are the Stella SW series, the Curado E series, the Shimano Torium reels, the Stradic MgFB Spinning reel, and many others.  Just browse through the internet for their product catalogue and the buyer would not even know what to choose.
